Before their larger wedding celebration this August, Alex and Derek chose to exchange vows during an intimate civil ceremony at Old City Hall in Toronto. Surrounded by their closest family members, the couple celebrated this meaningful milestone in one of the city's most iconic wedding venues. After the ceremony, we explored downtown Toronto for portraits, taking advantage of the beautiful architecture inside Old City Hall and the iconic city views surrounding Nathan Phillips Square. The combination of historic details and modern city backdrops made for the perfect setting. One of my favourite moments from the day came after the ceremony when Alex and Derek stopped for hot dogs from a downtown street vendor. It was such a fun and personal touch that reflected their personalities and made the day feel uniquely theirs.
It was an honour to document this special chapter for Alex and Derek and capture a wedding day that felt authentic, relaxed, and full of love.
